Can you tell me my checkout history? (aka How do I use My Lists?)

For privacy reasons, FVRL does not keep track of your past checkouts once they have been returned in good condition. The only records that remain in our system are for billed items. If you are trying to remember the name/author of a book you checked out in the past, we are happy to work with you to figure it out—just tell us as much information as you can recall about the book:

  • Author
  • Characters
  • Where and when it took place
  • The plot - what happened?
  • Publication date (even approximately)
  • When you read it
  • What the cover looked like
  • Or anything else you can think of

If you are wanting to keep track of everything you read, we do have a feature in our catalog called "My Lists," which you can use when you're signed in to your library account.  Note:  when you aren't signed in to your account, you can save titles to a Temporary List.  Titles added to a temporary list last only until you close the tab/window if you do not save the list.

You can also use sites like Goodreads and LibraryThing to keep track of your reading history.

If you use eBooks/eAudiobooks apps like OverDrive, Libby, or RBdigital, they keep track of your checkout history automatically, as does the FVRL OverDrive website
