How do I connect to the library's free Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is available outside our libraries during the coronavirus closure. You may need to move around the building to find a good spot. Updated July 7, 2020
Wi-Fi is available 24/7 at all of our locations except for Yale Library Express. Bring your personal laptop, tablet, smartphone, or eReader to the library and use the internet without a time limit.
Our wireless internet service is free and does not require a special password. To connect:
- Open the browser on your laptop or device and navigate to www.fvrl.org
- You should be redirected to a screen with our Internet access policy You must accept our policy to join the network.
- At certain times of day, the library experiences heavier Wi-Fi traffic. If you accept the policy and you are not immediately connected, try accepting the policy again.
- If you do not see the Internet policy accept screen, try turning the device's Wi-Fi off and back on. This should prompt the device to search for the library signal and reconnect.
