The audiobook I want to download is .odm. How do I make it MP3?
".odm" is OverDrive's MP3 format (it stands for "OverDrive Media.") The Digital Rights Management (DRM) included with the audiobook file scrambles the audio to help protect copyright, so you will need OverDrive's desktop media manager to unscramble it. You can download the media manager through the library website here, or OverDrive's help site, here.
From there, if you choose, you can play the audiobook in the media manager, transfer it to an iPod or MP3 player, or add the audiobook to iTunes and sync your iOS device.
- Download an audiobook to OverDrive Media Player for Windows and transfer to an MP3 player (iOS / other MP3 players)
- Download an audiobook to OverDrive Media Player for Mac and transfer to an MP3 player (iPod / other MP3 players).
- Import to iTunes (Windows / Mac)
