The title I want is checked out. How do I place it on hold?
If all copies of a book, audiobook, DVD, or other item you wish to borrow are checked out, you may place a hold on a copy to add your name to the queue (waitlist). You can do this in our catalog or, for downloadable titles, directly in the OverDrive or OneClickdigital websites/apps.
To place a hold via our catalog
Follow these instructions. Note: you will need to know your library card number (all 14 digits, no spaces) and PIN, and you'll be asked to choose a pickup location.
To place a hold on an ebook or eAudiobook via OverDrive
Follow these instructions. Note: You will need to know your OverDrive account username and password, or your library card number and PIN.
To place a hold on an eAudiobook or ebook via OneClickdigital
Follow these instructions:
To place a title on hold, go to the title detail page and select the “Hold” button. A success message will be displayed along with your place in line. For your convenience, OneClickdigital will automatically checkout the title to your account. An email stating the title is available for download will be sent to the email address you have on file. When you receive the email you can look in your “My Titles/Checked Out” items to download your selection.
Note: You will need to know the username and password you created when you set up your OneClickdigital account. Library staff do not have access to retrieve this information for you, but you may use the Forgot Password link or contact OneClick directly (877-77-AUDIO / 877-772-8346 or firstname.lastname@example.org) if you need assistance.
